Banana Oat Smoothie Recipe - Unicorn Cup Optional!

This is one of mine! I can feel myself puffing up with pride like a toad!

This is my go-to breakfast recipe as it is super-fast, super-tasty and...well, just super in all possible ways! It takes hardly any time at all to make and can be taken on the road (which sounds incredibly exciting but sadly the furthest I usually get with it is the end of the kitchen).
Note: You will need a blender/smoothie making device/similar.
Ingredients:
1 Banana
1 Tbsp Oats (raw are fine)
1 Tbsp Cacao Powder (they do a brilliant one in Aldi - Funktional Foods)
1-2 Tbsp Honey
Milk/Rice Dream/Oat Milk/Similar
Water
Ice Cubes
1. Chop up the banana and drop into your blender/smoothie maker etc. cup.
2. Add the oats, cacao powder and the honey.
Top tip: Add the honey after the oats and cacao powder so you only have to wash the one spoon.
3. Fill the cup just a little way off the brim with either a mix of the milk (or alternative) and water, just milk or just water. This is completely to taste - I usually use a combination of milk and water.
4. Add 2-3 ice cubes. (optional, but recommended)
5. Blend!
Note: If you need an extra pick-me-up (seen as it is, after all, technically a breakfast smoothie) then you can always add a Tsp or 2 of coffee granules before blending.
Note: You could also add a Tbsp of peanut/almond/cashew butter for a bit of extra sweetness!
I find that this smoothie is best enjoyed in a chilled glass - a very refreshing start to the day!
